PL Hobbs Works Available
Paintings or sketches described here as watercolour, are pure watercolour – that is, highest quality transparent pigment without the addition of white or bodycolour. Pure watercolour is the pinnacle of watercolour painting, along with the use of 100% acid free paper and conservation framing techniques ensures works will withstand the test of time to the highest degree.
Works described as dry brush watercolour is in every way the same as pure watercolour but varies in technique insofar as passages involve working with a brush that has been squeezed almost dry of pigment to create the very finest of touch.
Any deviation from the techniques referred to here will be noted under medium i.e. watercolour with body colour or mixed media.
Oils will be described as being on panel or canvas.
Pencil etc. will be on 100% acid free paper and all sizes shown are in cm, height precedes width.
